Featured in this color infrared, south-looking, low-oblique photograph is Cleveland, situated on the shore of Lake Erie at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. A leading iron and steel center, Cleveland is a primary Great Lakes shipping point and a major industrial, commercial, cultural, and transportation center in northern Ohio. Two airports are discernible--Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport west of the city and Burke-Lakefront Airport east of the mouth of the Cuyahoga River.
