STS064-110-092 Great Salt Lake and Wasatch Range, Utah, U.S.A. September 1994 The eastern portion of the Great Salt Lake and the Promontory Mountains, east of which lie Willard Bay and Willard Reservoir, are featured in this low-oblique, south-southeast-looking photograph. The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is visible just north of Willard Bay. Farmington Bay and Antelope Island are discernible west of the north-south-trending Wasatch Range, which is considered part of the Rocky Mountains. Salt Lake City is barely discernible in the top right of the photograph. |
