The eastern portion of the Great Salt Lake and the Promontory Mountains, east of which lie Willard Bay and Willard Reservoir, are featured in this low-oblique, south-southeast-looking photograph. The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is visible just north of Willard Bay. Farmington Bay and Antelope Island are discernible west of the north-south-trending Wasatch Range, which is considered part of the Rocky Mountains. Salt Lake City is barely discernible in the top right of the photograph.
