Photo #: STS062-98-162 Date: Mar. 1994 Geographic Region: USA-CALIFORNIA Feature: MUD L., TONOAPH TEST RA. |
STS062-098-162 Mud Lake, Nevada, U.S.A. March 1994 The most prominent feature in this arid landscape is dry, roughly oval, highly reflective Mud Lake. Some interior drainage or connectivity between Mud Lake and other dry lakebeds to the southeast apparently occurred at some time. The Cactus Mountains, east of the lakebed, show some snow cover. Several eroded mountain ranges are visible, and a runway, part of the Tonopah Test Range, is discernible near the center of the photograph. |
