This low-oblique, east-northeast, synoptic photograph shows snow-covered Lassen Peak Volcano and the surrounding area. Visible in the photograph are Lassen Peak left and slightly below the center; the blue waters of Eagle Lake to the right of top center; and the darker blue waters of Lake Almanor southeast of Lassen Peak near the center right. Snow persists into April in the highlands surrounding Lassen Volcanic National Park.
